one of the best looking Mitsubishis, ever
9
the EN is the better VALUE buy but even after facelift its still hideous which is why I have the Fl5 in my garage instead :) oh and Hyundai resale values (in case if you are worried about that) are pretty bad and the dealers are somehow worse than Honda ones
4
they said its the last pure ICE Type R, but the type R name will continue Given the Prelude, we should expect the next type R to use its hybrid system and continue to use the k20c turbo
4
@CarLoverPhotography what canadian spec gets and not in the american spec: digital dash heated front seats shift lights adaptive dampers fog lights (really honda?) these are the major ones, i might be missing a few
4
uh what? first Type R wearing car was NSX Type R in 1992 this is the first Civic Type R
4
@billm47645 this was my thinking too, the Integra is a much better value and easier to attain for msrp, or even under like I did I wouldnt hold my breath for the Type S though because they will still be limited (6-7 per acura dealer per year vs 1-3 per honda dealer per year for a type r) and the markups are also insane- my local acura dealer wants $10k+accessories for their first type S. I also think even at msrp $52k is just too much to be spending over the FL5 for not a ton of returns on the street, and in some wats even less since you dont have the sporty seats or the FL5 track modes or even the shift light, but ymmv
3
i had an integra a spec but i moved to the Type R instead of Type S mainly because the type R seats were better padded and supportive to me. though I do miss the a spec comfort features.
3
all you have to do is put the engine in comfort to diminish the fake noise. headifold turbo engines all sound kinda lame regardless unless you just make them obnoxiously loud like Hyundai does with the N stuff @JimmyDShea
3
the Si was never about beating people in a straight line, in fact what honda ever was? The Si was just meant to add some sportyness to the standard civic. The Si has also kept its price according to inflation for the past 30 years, and honda accoutns for that by keeping it around 200hp, If none of this suits you, they do have a ultra high performance Civic, its called a Type R
3
or you could just not be lazy
3
his photography is top notch
3
the US spec 11th gen Si gets shafted on many features the canadian Si gets, and suffers from shitty markups+long wait times at the dealers in my area I went with the integra under msrp instead
3
the rear seats in the 911 are only good for child seats lol
3
@GLA45Amg716 Cadillac CT4 and CT5 blackwings are RWD and are described as driving better than G8x and F90 cars with AWD go figure also while unfair for the alfa, the blackwings also have a manual option, and the g8x too (rwd only) awd also makes cars heavier (new m3 with awd weighs as much as an e39 m5)
3
also because all of the type Rs competition (most notably GTi clubsport and megane rs) are turbo with 270-320hp
2
its meant to appeal to americans without cannibalizing HRV and CRV sales, because if the civic was a proper hatchback, it would have even more space than it already does (best in class tbh) and make small crossovers irrelevant
2
@imnotusingmyrealname4566 i think the upcoming hybrid is fine and makes more sense to own long term over the 1.5 turbo
2
@imnotusingmyrealname4566 hondas IMA system has been in use for 20 years now and is fairly solid beyond replacing the hybrid battery a pack at around 150k miles. The 1.5t has a myriad of problems most notably headgasket failure. The hybrid also makes more torque/hp too
2
too bad m340i with options costs more the real champion here is the ct4v blackwing which comes in the correct 3 pedals. and costs in the same ball park as both the BMW and the acura also snow tires exist
2
get the red, but its also the rarest color. i think only <400 still in the US
2
there were rumours of one but I guess poor sales killed it
2
@1anre the sport hatch does not cost more lmao $26.5k vs $28.5k also more powerful? the sport hatch is 160hp vs 200 in the Si driver engagement is subjective, the Sport has a higher revving engine and is NA but the Si has a better shifter, turbo torque, and LSD
2
@6mtzhp55 i mean theres also the part where a good deal of the roads in the US are in disrepair because we'd rather spend our money funding useless shit
2
its just a nice sporty-ISH daily and that's about it
2
Cpd Hyrule someone in the netherlands had a K20 swap in a 1st gen Civic, albeit still an FF however it was restomodded and sold for $15k
1
I still think this looks ugly
1
the integra is doing what it has always has done, now with a turbo. cope harder
1
type r being limited means dealers will mark it up more lmao
1
@Marbind the acura dealer i bought my standard a spec integra from is about to get their 4th type S if not already. Most big honda dealers ive reached out are only getting 1-2 type Rs a year
1
no ZZW30s?
1
the miata isnt built upon a mass market chassis . its a roadster that's pretty impractical which is why its so small and light
1
miata and gr86? @thebumpban4959
1
the civic type R has always been a fast econobox
1
so you want an rx8?
1
It's a shame people don't appreciate cool Vans like these where I live, and would rather have a Mundane RAV4
1
the solution is to not be in Europe :) u guys killed your own segment
1
this guy comments the same thing on every tlx video, i think he has a vendetta against them lmao. No sources ever either @esp9sram
1
FL5 is much cleaner like a 90s car used to be @mtntrailsubie
1
@ForzaPulls i find myself breaking the speed limit pretty easily with just 200hp, these people are just boring
1
its not the safety, its the emissions regulations. also check out an N car from hyundai
1
+R doesnt disable TC fully, you still need to do pedal dance to be fully off, not that you should on the street though
1
@MrDamburger if your honda is old enough the AC stops working anyways
1
@1anre to some people it is, also the NA K20 will last longer than the L15 too. Oh and the K20 will have better response too
1
people want a type R coupe but then honda barely sold any 10th gen civic coupes or even 9th gen accord coupes hmmm is the market for an expensive fwd coupe there? the brz/86, Z, Mustang all continue to exist only because they're updates on older platforms, and the Supra because of BMW making the car for toyota, not to mention toyota is magnitudes larger than Honda as a company too
1
you can thank the US government for that
1
if you think its biden's problem that cars are expensive then you're part of the problem
1
The Civic is too big for japan Also the integra has always been a nicer civic. The new one is actually selling pretty well too
1
no the res of the compact class couldn't keep up. only VW and Hyundai got the memo much later @existentialvoid
1
the m340i makes MORE power and gets better mpg. the j30 turbo is just not efficient @ryanb8736
1
the si has been offered as a sedan since 2006, which is 18 years ago
