@ericbelletynee5448 If it has no value it wouldn't exist. Western economies currently have no value, and here's why. Economies are collapsing at a fast pace . Normally a government would increase taxes, and look for investment to fund the economy, well what would happen if they raised taxes now? So lets look at investment. Who has the money ? China, and you see they have just purshased some of Hamburg port. The Yuan by your definition is "of no value", but here they are buying stuff. Upset China and there will be no investment at all. and your back to poverty.

@araara4746 The US doesn't want this to end. Their economy is driven by debt and this creates more debt and therefore $ for them. They are trying hard to get China into a conflict over Taiwan, for the same reasons, and no doubt look at Nth Korea also. Biggest problem for the US is China/ Russia (Brits etc) trading in a currency outside of the USD. Because then those USD won't be needed and will flow back into the US creating massive inflation. This conflict is nowhere near over, and we will move from crisis to crisis to crisis

@puraLusa It produces inflation you dummy. More dollars into the system means it has to steal a fraction of a fraction of ALL dollars in circulation. Hence value is reduced. Its the same with a company that issues mores shares Each share in circulation loses value. But what would I Know I only have an economics degree

Putin blames the west ! I'd suggest this all goes way back when H. Biden worked for Burisma in Ukraine and got a pay check of $11m. Something went wrong, and J.Biden tries to have the Ukrainian prosecutor fired to protect his son from criminal investigations. Now Zelenski and J. Biden live happily ever after. I wonder if the corruption has stopped or at least slowed a little

I'm not sure about that. Theres a lot of talk that they might just back out of supporting Ukraine further. Big public "pushback" now against NATO and Ursula of the EU

@Tapman99 Lights are still on , plenty of cheap gas and fuel. Stock market is up, Rubble is the best performing currency. No problems with pension or retirement funds, Banks aren't closing down ATMs. Stock on supermarket shelves , that dont have security tags to deter shoplifting. No Big Mac or coke. But otherwise its good, wish you were here

@Pronto Globally tickets anywhere are through the roof. Airline companies are either milking this disaster, or paying a lot for fuel. Some will probably fail in the new year, or get a bailout from governments

@TheGargalon I know everyone says that. Its been how long now? Can you imagine what would happen if you reversed Russia for say The UK/Germany/Italy/Spain etc? poof, gone , finished. But then you've got the people that say Russia economy is the size of a pea .... Its all misinformation to keep everyone on the same narrative

@TheGargalon I wouldn't be buying any of those stocks just now. Do not average $ cost down on them, you will lose. They are all down huge, and lay offs will be next. If you want to invest, i'd invest in 1.Myself (new skills/education) 2. Physical precious metals gold/silverfrom a reputable dealer. This will protect your savings/wealth from inflation 3. Commodities such as Oil / Gas/Lithium/Rare earths/silver/gold etc. Because these materials will always be required and they will only go up it price.

@puraLusa Just on deflation so you understand. products produced in china/Vietnam/Cambodia etc ARE deflationary because they are cheaper to produce. Now take the same product and produce it in the EU......What will you get a cheaper price or a more expensive price? Once the consumer buys that product, is it deflationary or Inflationary (all things being equal)_
