@ahmedalnadi4159 nope, a single, large robot (without equipment) has a catalog price of around 25-35k€, depending on manufacturer, model and options. And automotive customers get them waaaay below that.

that is pure bullcrap, as most of the information in this video.

@Simon11354 ...because they are wrong?

@Nostradamus1981 the fact that you want that "link" shows exactly that you are the one without a clue. Pricing of robots is very customer-specific, so there are no price lists on the Internet. And automotive customers get very high discounts. How do I know that? I work for a robot supplier. There you go, keyboard expert.

@marcellojune63 I always appreciate a valuable contribution to a discussion 🤣

@Simon11354 what difference does it make?

@kimboofdzners9574 then call KUKA or Fanuc and ask for a price of a batch of 1000 robots. Then you'll see who's right and who's wrong.

@deus555 they are so expensive because the automotive industry milks us like cows. Google financial results of car producers - they keep reaching new heights almost each and every year. And in VW's case it's even better: in September, the German police raided houses of some board members, as they've had suspiciously high salaries. So robots and their prices have nothing to do with it.

@janeymers7154 Still, this does not reach the prices the video claims. Sure, the equipment can cost a similar amount as the robot itself. But the robot prices aren't that high.

@Coin28-o9r maybe with the complete equipment and programming. Naked robots are FAR cheaper than this.
