I like leaders that put their names on the ballot and actually try to get people to vote them into office.

@AB-zl4nh Yes, I understand but I prefer that when I cast a vote that I know who I am voting for, not that other people decide behind closed doors after the election who I voted for VDL is a prime example. She was not even mentioned as a candidate prior to her first "election". Then Merkel just announced that all candidates were thrown out and behind closed doors they decided that VDL won when she was not even mentioned prior to the voting. That is not what democracy looks like.
