  5.  @franzjoseph1837  the Belgium King has no real power. Belgium is now a democracy. Neither the Belgium parliament or EU or Congo leaders need to care what he wants. All three are free to ignore him. Hence no neo colonialism. If the Congo people reject an offer from him what can he do to force them?

  6.  @franzjoseph1837  This whole comment thread has been about the Belgium King not Belgium itself. Also Belgium itself is a very small and minor part of the EU. Neither the Belgium King or the Belgium Parliment have any great voice in the EU and AGAIN. Congo is free to say no to all three so again no neo colonialism. Why are afraid to answer my question about what the King could do?

  10. @Boss No I don't know that and even if true the money was lost in the world wars I agree it was a bad thing but everyone involved is long gone and all groups to include African groups have done wrong things. Why single this out?
