The sad reality is Blizzard still has so many old gamers nostalgia of it's old games wrapped around it's fingers. Bad release after bad release won't take that away. They're going to farm that last light of hope until the company gets bought by Microsoft and truly gets trashed.

Since it was clear they could no longer maintain growing customers and have been declining for over a decade, they continuously double down on those customers that remain. Also farm nostalgia to ensure huge preorders and box sales, which disappear a month after everyone realises they bought a turd.

End of the day Blizzard serves up Mcdonalds style games for PC gamers that gave up trying a long time ago. You want dumb mindless timewaster that fills a hole? Eat it up dummy. Don't think the consequences. Just keep thinking those childhood memories so you'll keep coming back again and again.

Blizzard doesn't care anymore, it's full mask off in the profiteering department. They're going to farm loyal fans until the wheels fall off and the Microsoft sale goes through so the bosses can disappear into the sunset with the looted wealth of the company.
