  2. That's pretty much human history before any form of mass entertainment or distraction was invented. People got drunk, had sex, prayed to Gods and died before 35, or in the modern day retirement age - 65. That's all people did outside of work. Doing other things than this is actually different and requires effort, often culturally shamed and ostracised. Of course now we have a world that is permanently distracted and no longer has children, but it is what it is.

  3. My parents are ancient so my dad like millions of others grew up without his original father because he died in WW2, his mother having no control over any of that. Now this is completely different from vast majority of modern relationships today where people break up for the next best thing and the children are just collateral damage. But not all single mothers are a consequence of bad behavior or decisions. It's just something people avoid because there are so many that keep their ex on the text. Life is complicated and people are tired of playing games.
