  1. It's just weebism. They also hate on dubs even if they are quality, even if they have no idea what the Japanese voices are saying. If you lived in Japan you'd realise, anime is basically their cartoons, they are on TV all day and there are a gorillion slice of life crap shows that nobody in the west cares about, most Japanese don't even care about them because they are just there. It'd be like being fanatical over loony tunes, yes it's good but just enjoy it for what it is, don't turn it into a fanatical religion.

  2.  @fourdeep6561  Well it is just strange and foreign to them. They'd watch the shit out of old loony tunes because of good childhood memories. The insane actions in anime can be harder for old people to follow though and I wouldn't change that.
