  1. ruen125 It was such a royal shame. Pontiac finally got the Fiero right and then it was killed. For being a car parts bin car, it was still something special. Pontiac deserved a better parent company. I wish they could have gone independent or maybe got bought out by another company. I know this is blasphemy but imagine a trans am based on the Mustang platform with Pontiac styling cues

  4. Valkyry5 Unfortunately, that’s been my experience with GM. You probably made the right decision to go foreign as a great number of people did. I went the other way and stuck to Ford

  5. That would have been awesome but the reality (as sad as it is) is front wheel drive cars were becoming preferable. The W body was a failure in terms of sales. GM could not compete with the Taurus and the emerging import cars. Still, I agree, I would have much preferred some awesome rear wheel drive goodness. Imagine all those GTPs and Monte Carlo SS’ as rear wheel drive.

  6. Peter Minidis Maybe i chose the wrong words but considering how much GM spent to develop, Market and manufacture the W body they needed it to be more successful than it was. That’s what I meant as failure since it didn’t meet the expected results and GM was in a bad way financially
