  3. 1320vids You’re comparing the corvette to the mustang. Compare the vette to the GT. Sure, the SS Camaro was cheaper and had somewhat similar acceleration numbers but it could in no way compete with the R on a track. You Chevy boys always like to compare the 350 to the 302 or 4.6 but when Ford puts a similar sized engine in their Mustang then you boys suddenly compare it to the Vette. I was around back then and I remember the shame and sting of that first generation 4.6 2V. It was a hard pill to swallow.

  6.  @scottwilson1251  The 350 put out maybe 305 at its peak in those years. The Cobra R was every bit as superior to the Fbody as the GT is to the Vette. Cry harder bud because Ford made a superior race car in the Cobra R.
