I wish I had unlimited funds. I’d buy the Tremor and use it to tow my trail rig which would be a highly modified Bronco. Ahh, one day perhaps...

The Jeep fanboys are out in force

Devin Bender Don’t bother. Obviously you walked into a Jeep circle jerk. Best thing to do is retreat. IFS is better. I remember years ago 4X4 tested it and the IFS flexes better, gives you better grip, control and ride. The straight axle was simpler and stronger (depending on build) and at the time cheaper.

Brandon Candelario Just make sure you give that ol’ 460 to a good home

42luke roblox Sorry, I thought i was the only one that wanted this. I wish they would still make bench seats and column shifters in cars too.

You’re right, it’s better

42luke roblox I know this is a joke but yeah, I want that. Then I can fit all the kids in there and the wife.

Walker Stone Because they’ve broken down and rusted out. Let’s get real here. The Ford will be a better built vehicle all around. The jeeps that actually see any real off-road use are about 5% of the total bought.

fastdude2002 I agree, I was hoping for SFA too. But once it was announced to be based on the Ranger I knew it wasn’t to be. It would be too expensive for Ford and they would most likely lose overall sales by either selling it too high to recoup the cost or to the majority of folks that don’t go ‘hard core’ off-roading. Jeep only has one vehicle that has SFA and that’s for a reason. Plus, the 80-96 Bronco has TTB. And I used to go to Moab every year in my Bronco with my friends taking their YJs, TJs, XJs and ZJs and the TTB Bronco did fine. In fact, I was the only one that didn’t break down, overheat, or rode like shit. But I’m still hoping there is an SFA surprise

theninja001 I couldn’t remember the terminology. This has been an argument in four wheeling for decades. I can remember one mag testing an 85 and 89 4Runner. Another one tested that pro off rock crawler with a purpose built IFS buggy. The differences were minimal. This was about 20 years ago and the solid axle was cheaper to build and stronger (for the money).

Except in quality and sales.

not me What was the original Bronco based on? I know in the early 70’s Ford planned to use the F150 platform and because of the oil crisis we got the full-size later in 78. The Bronco used the full size platform until it’s sad sad retirement. The old Ranger platform wasn’t terrible since it was a fully boxed frame and had the somewhat controversial TTB. Plus, those old B II’s are really fun little vehicles.
