We need to enhance sentencing to deter this sickness. I’m okay with instituting the death penalty for some and life time sentences for others. Child sex abuse should never be a slap on the wrist if perpetrated by an adult(s).

⁠ @PAMELAPORTER-ci7mr I don’t think they are saying anyone’s taking their children away. It’s about the sexualization of our children and how the government (public schools) are ignoring parental rights while doing this. We’ve seen this beige in America. In the 80’s and early 90’s it happened in California. It ended in a lot of child exploitation and abuse. Maybe you need to do some real research on the subject.

@tadashi369 They do chemical castrations but from the last research I’ve seen it doesn’t change their behavior. It usually increases the violence in which they offend. The problem always comes down to evidence in dispositional hearings. Plea deals are often made because of the lack of evidence in these crimes. It sucks but it’s better than nothing happening to them versus some jail time and then a lifetime of registering as an offender.

I think a lot of people forget that we have rights and one person’s suspicions isn’t enough for the police to rush over and arrest someone. The laws are written with reality in mind. There may be one or two cops looking the other way about things but it’s completely ridiculous to think an entire department is okay with children being sexually abused. The vast majority of Americans would not tolerate this. C’mon folks, our civil servants aren’t that corrupt.

They know better. The whole “that’s what my mom did to me” is just a way to justify their unforgivable decisions.

@KathyJensen-vh2yk Do you understand how insanely big an operation like that would have to be? One child death is huge news at the border. When a Republican is in office the Dems use it to demonize the right. When it’s the left in charge then the right uses it to show how bad open borders are. Way too many people would have to be silent about organ harvesting. It just doesn’t pass the smell test.

Exactly. Children can be amazingly resilient. I’m not sure what “guts and grit” was reading but I didn’t see anywhere in your post where you said these children won’t have trauma. What were you doing in college that allowed you to interview these types?

@Acemechanicalservices It depends on which data is being used. Certain groups of researchers will use slanted data to make things look worse than they actually are. There was a time when they were saying that 1 out of 4 woman are sexually abused/assaulted at college. But the questions asked in the surveys were like “did anyone look at you and it made you uncomfortable” and/or “has anyone said something you didn’t like.” It made the numbers spike but the truth was like like 1 out of 40 (or something similar) were actually assaulted. Some organizations define abuse in similar ways so it really slants the numbers. Look at a lot of these comments and it makes sense. Some of these folks believe CPS and the police are just fronts for government trafficking agencies. It’s absurd

@carlywright5127 I’ve never heard of these cases. I know of cases where young girls meet plants in juvenile detention and get hooked up with guys when they get out. Then they get tricked into trafficking. But I have never seen or heard of corrections being involved in trafficking out of prisons.
