  1. I love how people still believe the lie Toyota circulated about the mats being the issue. I love Ford but you probably could have put a few more models in here. The focus debacle with the auto trans. The engineers said it was garbage but due to cost they went ahead with it anyways. The Explorer issue was known before the first one rolled off the assembly line. They had designs to widen the body to make it more stable but again due to costs they went ahead with it. They finally widened the explorer in ‘02. The original Mustang had the same issue as the Pinto but nobody talks about that. Each manufacturer has similar stories that get forgotten over time
