It’s not that crazy if you look at the battle lines and what was happening right at the end. There was no crushing defeat from the allies and Germany was able to take ground and hold it. They also were able to repel attacks from the allies. Most likely it was the German civilians that lost the war since they were being starved to death by the British blockade. Even after the armistice tens of thousands of civilians (children especially) starved to death because the British refused to remove the blockade.

@jarekkish8077 Then what’s you’re point? People cannot nearly starve to death and later on over consume alcohol to forget those painful memories? Only the rich/elite are allowed to party? Get over yourself

I disagree. Everything about the treat of Versailles was punitive. To the French it was all about 1871. Even Japan got in on taking Germany’s colonies. WWII was inevitable
