757WN I guess it’s tough being the honest person but it is the right thing to do. I could never sell a vehicle with known problems without either getting them fixed first or being up front about them. It’s a shame that people like us are few and far in between

The triton series is a good engine but very complicated. We had a whole fleet with the 3V and they all ran fine with reg maintenance. Ford haters love bashing this engine because they see it as low hanging fruit. You don’t see Ford folks going to videos featuring burned up DoD chevys or blown up hemis with chewed up cams, do ya?

nullrout This isn’t a Ford design though. They cheaped out and sourced the trans to the same company that made the VW trans. I heard that they were talking to Borg Warner before they did this and we could have had a sweet dual clutch design that actually worked but it was a little too expensive

@kainhall Do you need a neighbor? We got swamped by Californians the last few years and I can’t stand it

Ford stopped their car production because of profitability. Their trucks and SUVs make a lot more money. Plus, they are a global company so how many American engineers do you think they employee? Between UK and American engineers the world has most of its innovations from. When the Japanese first started in the American market they were not known for their reliability. You may want to research how their quality control program came about and who was actually involved in said program.

Randy Prevette Said no one ever. The old saying was ‘how to make a Ford go fast? Put a Chevy engine in it.’ But that was way back in the day and you’d have to really understand Motorsports back in the 60’s and 70’s to understand why that was being said.

This has always been a thing. The 60’s Mustangs were only designed to be around for 5 years or so. It’s not a new concept
