@michaelleigh859 Actually yes it was. There has been and most likely will always be small divisions. Look what happened during WWI and WWII. It’s many peoples coming together for the perceived greater good.

@chmarshall81 Of course it’s not the same but the model used does make sense. I’m just saying it’s understandable why they thought it would work. I should have been more clear in my initial post

@michaelleigh859 That’s my point. It was United and if push came to shove we’d be more United than currently believed. That’s all I was trying to say. Back when S Africa was trying to implement a model for national unity the US made sense. And it’s debatable as far as unity and being forced by law. The south wasn’t 100% racist like it’s made out to be either. Sometimes law enforcement had to force shop owners to segregate because the only color that most people care about is green
