@im2tweaked I’m not attacking you (just to be clear). I think this is an interesting discussion. Calling something a baby isn’t similar to corruption or breaking the law. I think it would be akin to saying fingers instead of flanges. Baby isn’t a medical term either. They are infants to toddlers but parents call their children babies even up to adulthood. It doesn’t make it wrong. While you are correct in your medical terminology, you are incorrect in trying to tell others how to they should refer to something. Plus, parasite isn’t quite appropriate since it’s not really an alien organism attaching to the host. And I’m not here as pro or anti abortion.

@im2tweaked Is it a “you issue” though? People use the word baby all throughout the pregnancy. If it’s in common parlance then doesn’t it mean that it is correct? When a pregnant woman goes to her doctor they both refer to it as the baby. It’s “how’s the baby?” Or the baby’s heart beat. I have never heard a doctor or family ask how is the fetus. Baby has emotional baggage attached while fetus doesn’t. So it is much easier to refer to aborted offspring as a fetus instead of baby. And no one has ever referred to offspring of any species as a parasite to the mother. Again, this is just another way to detach the emotion from the term.

@vickyfellers7046 Haha, sometimes parents can be terrible. I’m actually kind of both. For myself I’m pro life but for everyone else I’m pro choice.

Let’s not get to crazy with what she said. The judges will take the adversarial role while questioning the lawyer. It’s to see how strong their argument is. She’s not a monster
