@xy7571 Yep. That’s what usually happens to the losers of wars. It’s amazing to me that anyone is left to cry about it but I for one am glad that the US exists. Sometimes we conflate history with the present. Do you think the US was a world power back when this happened? They weren’t. It was a small union of several states and the army was barely 100K (if that). It wasn’t just a one sided slaughter either. I won’t justify the taking of children though. That happened up until the 70’s. That’s a completely different tragedy. Some of it was for good others not so good. BUT the point is that the US exists and it’s existence is legitimate

@xy7571 Forcing children out of their homes where they are safe really isn’t a good reason. I know that but we also have to put history in it’s proper context. It seems lately that we only want to focus on one side to condemn that side completely. The US isn’t evil. The natives lost their land but it’s amazing they were even allowed to stay anywhere. They weren’t enslaved (unless by other tribes and sold) and they weren’t completely wiped out. We are here complaining about things that happened centuries ago while using the benefits of modern technology. We cannot undo history. We cannot give land back because there is no proper way to do so. People lately are too caught up in victimhood
