  1.  @ogi5699  I agree in part. The minimum wage was never meant to be a living wage. We have more laborers than jobs. The demand continues to lessen every year because of immigration. What do you think will happen if we continue to artificially inflate minimum wages every year? Costs go up to meet spending and soon bankruptcy which adds to homelessness. Small businesses cannot compete at those artificially inflated wages. Either they don’t hire, fire current staff, automate or shut down. Like you said, the government need to stay out of it
