  1. Don’t expect government to readily give up taking our money . This is the one tax I don’t understand. The gov has already taxed this money/inheritance multiple times throughout someone’s life but as soon as they die the gov gets another piece of it?

  2.  @monotech20.14  I’m not sure where you’re getting your info. If your parent dies and leaves you $10k, that gets taxed. You may be looking at state tax rates but each state is different.
