  1. I remember my brother and I was trying to get to one of the glaciers just above the treeline around 9600 ft when a storm popped out of the mountain. We immediately went down the mountain, but I have to say walking above the treeline looks prehistoric. My friend wants to climb it one day. I declined to join. People die on that mountain all the time. Ill settle for Mt. Eddy. Tallest mountain on the Westcoast west of Interstate 5. Just miles away from Mt. Shasta.

  2. To me the most unexplained part at being on the main slope of Mt. Shasta is why haven't I've done this sooner??? Going above the treeline is an experience in itself. Its like stepping into the Jurassic age.
