@sora4440 but they don't get 860k. Half goes to taxes. 15% to thier agent. Plus lawyer, publicists, etc... They're lucky to get 250k-300k of that and they have no medical or anything once they leave the NFL and they aren't qualified to do anything else because they're put into basketweaving classes by the university to assure they are focused on thier job of making the university money.

Puffy must have been a WWE fan because he followed the same plan Vince McMann laid out. He made himself the star that all the talent revolved around. He was the main storyline that the WWE laid out. Making him the key part of the company unlike the NBA, NFL etc.. were the talent was the key. Which gave them the power to strike and move the needle with the fans. Dana White of the UFc followed the same plan. Put himself in the key role as the voice of the sport and the star of TUF.

@TheMysteryDriver so what? The arguemnt isn't it's more than some others. It's that saying whatever the number announced isn't actually the number they recieve and once you start paying your medical bills that money doesn't last. It's why 60% of NFL players file for bankruptcy within 5 years of retirement.

The fact the organizations saw the fans as unwilling to accept black champions tells you a lot about that audience. I grew up on wresting as well and the audience was always very very white male.

Light was awful from the start. He just didn't have any power to do anything about it. The moment he got the power he implemented his beliefs. They didn't change.

Its crazy how devalued RBs have become. When I was a kid in the 70s and 80s it was a RB league. All the big names were Rbs and there were so many great Rbs in the league. They carried thier teams.

@joanned8172 and they make more on average as well with less wear and tear. There union has been very strong for a long time which is a result of the longer careers. The short NFL career has led to players voting very selfishly on issues that helps themselves in the short run but hurts the group.
