@@yerrbaayt8157 Francis shouldn't have won against Gane. Gane landed more strikes in round 1, 2, 4 and 5, and got a takedown while going for 3 submission attempts throughout round 3 and onwards... Francis took Gane down 3-4 times and only had ground control with zero damage and zero submission attempts. The judges were stupid and more impressed with Francis' physical power and size during the takedowns... The highest criteria for MMA judging is someone trying to finish a fight either by damage or submissions... Ground control without submissions and damage is similar to clinch control...

@ronjones301 Well, that doesn't explain why Francis couldn't land a single punch on Gane's face during the standup, which consisted of around 13+ minutes out of the 25 minutes, especially in round 1 and 2. Not to mention that wrestling would have been more painful for his knees, but he did it even though that wasn't even a part of his gameplan. If Usman hadn't been in his corner, he wouldn't have made good enough adjustments.

@ronjones301 And yet Francis wants to fight Fury who is more elusive than Gane. Good for Francis that the judges gave it to him but I thought Gane won 3 rounds. Round 5 was the close one..

@ronjones301 Don't think Francis stays with the UFC. Even PFL and Bellator would pay him his worth, not to mention all the exhibition matches. Gotta appreciate him trying to get a Fury fight for his own wealth.

You're actually comparing Khabib's ground control, which was full of aggressive ground and pound mixed with full guard and half guard positions along with submission danger with Francis' who was gased out on the ground with ZERO submission attempts and ZERO ground damage?!? Gane should have won round 1, 2 and 5 at least. Francis didn't even do anything after the takedowns....
