  2.  @naturally_rob  I am no expert, but I read that QCD got it wrong and ADS/CFT (from string theory) got it right. This is weak support for string theory as a theory of everything, but strong support for it as useful math for physics. String theory isn't nearly worked out fully so idk if it can be strongly tested in any way today. Parts of the theory that are solid (e.g. extra dimensions) are out of range of experiment at the moment.

  6. i think he was wrong on that point actually. it has an exact number, no more no less. it is 26 but can be reduced mathematically to 10 if i recall, no expert, plus 1 for time
