  9.  @robcoates5742  "the market economy has utterly failed in healthcare." As a market proponent, I have to agree. I don't think it's the profit motive however. Every industry has that, and some work very well and efficiently.   Maybe our health care market has failed because 1) the companies have engineered monopolies all over the place, and 2) a unified, single payer system is simply way more efficient. Health insurance is best done for everyone at once. Most other industries are not like that -- we're not going to use taxes to buy everyone a Buick in November and then a toaster next March.

  18.  @Inisfad  i think u just jealous because they make 36k/ year plus benefits. oh, didn't know that? lol. poor poor poor people. and now they working that much they want more $ and they will probably get a raise to 48k. if i'm crying it's not for those poor poor middle class workers.

  19.  @Inisfad  Do you think they should get more? I think they should get more.   Do you think that 36k is liveable? I think so. 60 hrs a week is too many hours for me! However it's probably their choice to work that much because I doubt that 60 hours is actually in the contract. Bottom line, do you think Bernie is somehow cheating or being a bad employer? Would your opinion change if the union gets the 48k that they want in the next agreement at the end of July?
