@feelgood1980 Yeah I'd put it somewhere 4k to 13k years ago, when people started living in such large settlements they couldn't know everyone, even as a friend of your cousin's shaman's daughter. Thus, we invented "leaders." We are figuring out a new form of human life. Change is always hard. We can do it! Back to the future! Once, we could vote on every tribal decision, because it was like a small family. We could do that again, with technology.

@confucius12012 well yes but give them a bit of a break, the planet has changed dramatically about every 10 years recently. for example cell phones have disrupted polling, and news can't be found on the news any more. News was always very restricted but it used to have more facts per hour, it seems. It was very controlled however. Now it is less controlled but more hyped. They've had to go for distraction over tight control, due to technology.

There's nothing illegal with trying to unseat a President. It only depends on how you do it. Publishing false information? Yeah that can be illegal.
