ScreechingBlueHairFeminist We could debate what she did there (good stuff), but the proof is in the canning. The elite made her quit the Bureau that she designed and got Obama to create. She's defended the poor and middle class on bankruptcy, with her voice and her votes. I'm very nervous about her foreign policy though. She might be an invader.

@canaryinthemachine3129 agree, Bernie has it. on the other hand, Warren is both honest and possibly correct. I actually think she's wrong, it's more electable to be clean, but at least she is up front about it. It's a straight answer.

@whitefink7090 A classic example of meritocracy is China back in the Han or Tang or some dynasty, when they had nation wide exams to get government jobs. This was back when China was so advanced, most of the world was like a spork by comparison. Of course these civil servants weren't the emperor, but they were very influential, had great jobs, and were selected on skill. Even if our leaders are idiots, we can still have a meritocracy in that sense, if the more skilled tend to rise, which is true in the US to a large extent.

No and yes. She's against the oligarchy, but they are happy to have her split votes with Bernie. If she wins the nom they'll probably prefer Trump.

idk this stuff about "it's a libertarian thing" leaves me blank. Don't just trash an idea by association. I expect higher standards on Dore, and am not inclined to watch the whole episode.
