what it actually means in practice is something that flies in a way that regular things do not.

I'm actually surprised Sagan never saw one, and Asimov too.

Foods were even worse in the 1970s, they sold petroleum as cooking oil and a pound of sugar was "part of a balanced breakfast." . It must be the level of physical activity was higher.

I think there's more going on than advanced space ships

A guy went on the Nightly News in New Mexico and told the reporter how he was a kid on the ranch when it crashed, maybe it was Glenn I don't remember, he told a story just like that. He'd been 9 or 12 or something at the time, I think his dad was a ranch hand or ranch manager. He said the foil couldn't be creased, if you folded it it would spring back flat.

oh man foods in the 1970s were horrible, we were not allowed to eat a lot of the stuff in the grocery store. it was the age of artificial everything. . idk why people were skinnier! maybe electronics today?

@teccash3507 Well, yes... WE ate healthy! Because mom wouldn't let us eat half the stuff in the store. . The industrial food thing began in the 1950s. By the 70s they were selling a million solar masses of hydrogenated oils per day, enough to cause entire star clusters to grip their chest in pain. . The twinky was our national vegetable. . Children were allowed to extort candy from strangers, so they would not protest the Vietnam war. . Rivers caught on fire, bird eggs cracked, and Texas existed. But I should stop before I go off the rails. It was a wonderful time.

Back then, film makers showed the best interviews. Now they show the worst. .

I saw some stuff like that this spring in NM. One, a light blinked once every 2 minutes for half an hour, moving about 15 degrees in all that time. Another, a light was blinking every 20 seconds in the same place against the stars, and then the blinks started to appear further to the left each time. . There are also tons of satellites, shooting stars, and planes and the occasional chopper or military jet. Not to mention the clouds and stars! They sky can be a busy place...
