  1. Congressmen wise enough to propose legalization: Booker, Sanders, Garrett, Gabbard, and Polis. Also JIll Stein and Gary Johnson deserve mention. I'd say support all these efforts big time, as long as they aren't loaded with something evil. This bill does go beyond letting states decide: from the LA Times, "Under Booker’s proposal, states that choose not to legalize marijuana would lose federal criminal justice funding if their enforcement has a disproportionate effect on poor and minority individuals. " I can see how some might not like that provision; it pressures the states and even penalizes people in the states based on a social justice formula. If a state loses that funding it is the poor people who will suffer first.

  3. I am totally for legalization across the board, and I actually think the drug laws are a crime against humanity. However, the way Booker's bill works, states that don't legalize would lose their federal criminal justice funding. That probably hurts poor people the most. I just think there is a better way forward.

  4. won't work, but it is still good news that people are trying to get popular by legalizing flowers. The dark ages are lifting; the weird ages begin!
