  1. For the future at least give the students a decent interest rate, like 2% over the prime. Right now that would be about 2%, instead of 5%. The govt. doesn't need to make 5% ROI on the loans unless it's trying to actually make money off the students.

  2. our congress has been unable to pass much for years, also. the third parties have been totally shut out, a non-factor in congress. i have blamed too much control by two parties that pretend to hate each other, but secretly collude to enrich all their donors. idk, your take on Australia makes me re think...

  5. Gary Johnson is great, he was my gov and he has my vote for sure. I like what Jill was saying here -- with both of them we begin to have a real national conversation on some core issues. With only the R and D entries, we don't get a very deep discussion.

  8. CC is a great thing, we should definitely make them free like they were 20 years ago. And the CCs should work with industry so they have the training will match up. In Germany they do a lot of this so the graduates are ready to go right to work.

  9. I took carpentry in 1993 or thereabouts in New Mexico. I bet it was state by state, whether it was free or not.
