Curiously, the data do not show a surge after Turkey Day. . Perhaps after all the shopping in December... but probably not. These waves seem to have a wave like nature. They go up, then down, all three so far.

@trueboss9265 Vinyl Joe has the right idea. Modern media is too digital. Records are like UBI for the ears.

source? I think that is 10x too high

@timothypulliam2177 There will be false positives and false negatives. The system can handle some noise, hopefully.

yes, but with small chance and years developing

@promotechs2540 I agree, we just need to have the filter on. And not watch too much. The News has an insidious effect on the amygdala through sound effects and other techniques. . The science reporting is particularly bad. . They don't use statistical wisdom in their analysis, and they consistently mis-report conclusions. They almost never report methods. In print, the headline is usually the worst part of an article, and the article will often debunk it's own headline. (Looking at you, Guardian)

@jew-sa "Big Pharma" is mostly good. They make what we buy when we feel bad. However, they are subject to corruption like any powerful entity.

Pay them a bonus for every kid that goes to college or gets a job out of high school. The tests are not good enough to be used for teacher evaluation. Measure actual success!

@Haileycartero Excactly. Why are politicians skipping line? . If they are priority, then say "Care homes, health care, and leaders." They are just bullshitting that this is part of the plan. It isn't. It should be, but it is actually skipping line.

Captions? CBS, have you "heard" of the ADA?

@aarondixon2731 Fire also kills the virus, but we don't light up cruise ships to stop it! Lysol is harmful to the airways. I have a BA in biology. Dont breath lysol, that is terrible. Seriously do NOT breath it!!!!!!!! You could harm your lungs and make them vulnerable. Lysol is fine on surfaces, but soap kills the virus as well as anything. Simple soap is a miracle. "Benzalkonium chloride is a human skin and severe eye irritant.[26] It is a suspected respiratory toxicant, immunotoxicant, gastrointestinal toxicant and neurotoxicant.[27][28][29] Benzalkonium chloride formulations for consumer use are dilute solutions. Concentrated solutions are toxic to humans, causing corrosion/irritation to the skin and mucosa," -wikipedia B. chloride
1
@aarondixon2731 Lysol is great, but DO NOT BREATHE IT. IF the government wanted us to be defenseless they would have to take the soap. Soap is just as good. Maybe better. Soap is not being advertised because it's cheap and the companies want money. Don't fall for the tricks of capitalism. We can live simply and healthily.
1
@aarondixon2731 no argument there :/ I bet they don't breathe surfactants!

This was a confederate symbol, seems like a good idea. They should use the magnolia flag! . I'm not against confederate symbols, except on official USA 'memorabilia' lol like a state flag. . I think statues are valuable and should usually be left up -- perhaps with an added plaque or statue to tell more of the story. And never taken down without a vote. .

yup, drones get everywhere. however, they don't go from 80k to ocean in a second.

@mattbarker1411 I was responding to a comment that said "a couple thousand" not claiming that there were that many. As you suggest I looked it up, and found "70,000 and growing" reported by the Millennial Press. No doubt there could be serious stuff going on there. I think the video title is clickbait and war mongering rhetoric, though. Sure, Did Russia "threaten" invasion? Or do Russian movements threaten invasion? BIg difference, ABC.
1
@agris8859 Russia is clearly dangerous, given history. Fear-mongering journalism is also a threat to peace. ABC is committing journalistic malfeasance by stating interpretation as a fact.
1
@agris8859 I would certainly agree on the example, my friend. However, as I am not alone in feeling a certain deception in the title, there may be a grammatical reason for it. The title reads to me as if there is an act OF threatening -- rather than an act that IS threatening. In any case, I hope peace wins, and that youtube comments trend to the scholarly and kindly approach that you have modeled in this thread.

No actually, all we heard was "Trump can't handle it. We need something new. Anything. He doesn't even care any more." . I never heard one person say "Biden is awesome!!"

Will it change youtube?

One person got sick.

It wasn't great but it wasn't bad. Europe was on board, Iran was (and is) squeezed very hard. There were issues with their stockpile and the time horizon of the agreement, but it was not a bad step. imo. Now Trump is talking about letting Iran sell more oil lmfao. Really any normal president will want to have his cake and eat it too. Bash Iran and make $ with them.
1
@biglo9889 I think those planeloads of cash were legal, actually. Anyway that's how business gets done in the ME. Need an ally? How many planes you got? That's how the Anwar Awakening worked under Bush! Reagan was more creative -- he shipped loads of missiles to Iran for planeloads of cash to a war in Central America. Like I say, normal presidents bash Iran, and make money with them. Business as usual. Now Trump is going that way, talking about letting them sell more oil.

It's because China has contained and controlled the epidemic. Most other countries are in an earlier stage and have not controlled it.

Bezos sold a share of Ivanka's clothing line to pay for the trip.
1
@NHLblkgurl I do love entrepreneurs! I know for a fact Ivanka got her trademarks from Xi Jinping on their own merit, not the fact her dad was president. I'm sooo looking forward to the new 2021 unisex fragrance Ivanka and Hunter are coming out with together, Snow Job
