there is a possible link between Zuni and Japanese, specifically the Zuni ceremonial language

Also because the timing doesn't fit. BTW Europeans are closely related to Native Americans due to having common Siberian ancestors. Not everything is a conspiracy.

@scionofliberty2967 I hear what you are saying. The effort to put down whites is sad and misguided. But that doesn't mean the Solutrean hypothesis is correct.

With the older dates, we need to remember the Ice Free Corridor was open before 23,000 as well as after 13,500. The Kelp Highway was open continually...

There is evidence for "Austronesian" DNA in ancient bones in SA and NA. There is evidence for Polynesian DNA I think in one or two places in Peru. This could be much more recent.

@1marcelo Just to be clear, I am making a distinction between Polynesian (recent contact, maybe 1000 years ago, no major admixture into the Americas) and Austronesian (ancient contact, 10s of thousands of years ago, multiple studies showing admixture in SA and NA). Are you saying that the Austronesian DNA link has been disfavored recently? I am going by the Anzic child analysis, which found such a link, and mentions that it has been found before. But I am not up on recent research.

@AncientAmericas Calvert Island, BC Canada. Also see the paper Archaeology and Sea Level Change on the British Columbia Coast by Mackie 2018

@r44bb98 We should all use BC and AD, because that's what Jesus did.

@russellmillar7132 I think the evidence is that Clovis PEOPLE did not die off, but Clovis culture did disappear. The Anzic child is related to most indigenous people in NA and SA, so his lineage did not die off. But Clovis point making stopped. Many Clovis people may have died due to a meteor. The culture changed or disappeared rapidly.

If I recall, Castaneda's Don Juan says the Toltecs were individuals of great power, not a culture or civilization. For what that's worth.

Actually BP is not part of that controversy. BP is before PRESENT, with no relation to BC vs BCE.
