thank you for that report

General Lockdown has been demoted and Colonel O'Truth is now in command. He requests an immediate field promotion for Private Business.

That's a bad attitude: blame people for going to the doctor and at the same time say that people need to go to the doctor.
5
@Shelmerdine745 Lockdown is undefined. Everywhere that had a buncha bugs got rid of most of them. They did it in different ways, from Sweden's business as much as possibly usual, to NK's lead cure. We did it in my state twice (lol) so far with no locks on the highways. . I say we can lock down without the lock, just get down with it. Jiggy that thing. Put some science on it. . We can have our cake and not infect the next slice. We just need robots to fill the essential cake-related positions.
3
Not really, they are saying that survival is not the only potential goal that a human might have.
3
The Declaration doesn't call for mandatory back to school. It says that schools should be open. That leaves room for choice -- students can stay home and also teachers can work remotely if they want. .
3
@wwsfpv5116 Exactly, that's what I'm saying, change that kind of rule. It should be optional. . What country are you talking about? In the US we don't get fined for skipping school. Parents can home school kids if they choose.
3
@GoshenTrailsRanch I'm no doc, and science doesn't know, because there hasn't been time, but personally if I had it in January I'd figure I was immune. I'd saddle up and hit the trail. . If immunity began to fade in less than 6 months or so, we'd have millions of re-infections, and I haven't seen anything about that.
3
Ok, yes, interesting... but only in the long term limit, or equilibrium situation. . There could be a extended times when R hovers around 1 even if immunity is permanent... e.g., as people become immune, society tends to relax vigilance.
2
@craigwall6071 Yeah the Declration is opposite! It's saying let the kids have a life, let the older people take the increased risk.
2
I agree, after flattenning, we might want to talk about a larger strategy. . Also we should get a pat on the back for the flatness! Not just "keep it moving people, obey the signs."
2
are the schools doing the bubble concept? it seems that Scandanavia has some good ideas on how to do it
2
@HalfGodHalfBeast ok yes, politiking is not helpful to science. . We've been watching Sheldrake videos lately. Sharp fellow.
2
@robertwhite3503 No, just that both teachers and children should have a choice to work from home, or go to school, or do part time. . How about a plan, for starters. Choice should be one aspect of a plan. There's a lot we can do with a plan. . For example there's a cellular concept that breaks up the school pop into smaller units.
2
Why would he have to live somewhere else?
2
i hear it's actually a right-wing institute that did the declration lmao . who cares left or right, let's do good not bad
2
no

The mortality of Covid decreases by 1/2 every 10 years or so, exponentially. I don't recall anything like it. . PS they maybe don't know the absolute mortality rate. (the USA isn't doing regular random sample surveys so we don't know Jack Sprat about total infection rates).
1
Everyone can check "yes" to your questions. We all have a stake in the world.
1
not always
1
was? or is? . what's the best way today
1
that's at least better than what they're doing today in the USA, no surveys or polls at all, just test numbers
1
Emma Thompson Does the Great Declaration include intentional injection of the virus? . https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/02/Great_Barrington_Declaration.pdf . I don't see that.
1
Emma Thompson Ok I see, you are saying that injection should be part of the strategy, not referring to the Declaration. . Because it's gross af, if you want to get it maybe it would work to breath in a crowd, leave the needles alone.
1
Emma Thompson Healthy people aren't dying from it! As soon as they get it they are not healthy anymore. . To the OP: nobody is quarantining the healthy in the US. The term is "isolating" and that is because they might not be healthy. Asymptomatic spread is a big problem. .
1
he's talking about the next disease in the future, not this one
1
give everyone health insurance and UBI and let em sort it all out. isolate if need to, work if want to... it's a thought
1
polio diptheria hepatitis HPV rotovirus rubella rabies typhoid fever yellow fever smallpox etc. I'm tired of typing
1
@fatslapper49 Oh yes, well ok then. The OP's sentence could be read as requesting such, or excluding such. . In that case the answer to the question is that it is a non sequeter. Herd immunity by definition requires large numbers of infections + vaccinations.
1
@achimrecktenwald9671 Makes sense. Without vaccination, herd immunity would require another means. In general, it would require large proportion of the population becoming immune or resistant due to exposure of some type so that the R factor is below 1 on average. .
1
Interesting... what is the delusion in this Declaration, or what delusion does the Declaration fix?
1
it did but it also hurt other things besides the virus
1
and teh Decleration did not assume that or say that
1
It's a fact as well as an attitude, of course. We are in it together like it or not. . We would not be all in it together in the same way if... ok I got one. If humans had a 17 year resting phase like Locust! . In that case we could weather this individually, by digging and metamorphosing and sucking on roots until the Locust Health Organization says it's ok to emerge.
1
CFR does not apply to a "season." It applies to individual cases. .
1
Immunity means you can't get it. If you can't get it you can't spread it. . That's by definition. As you say, we don't know how long it lasts...
1
@robertwhite3503 Interesting, thanks! .
1
@M. P. Oh ok, of course! I thought you said you had had it already. . We're we don't need to work away from home. Sister just joined the bubble after two tests. Having a great time with the fam here but the panda is stressful even for us who can mostly just (try to) stay out of the way.
1
Lol you insult someone and then ask nicely if they have something to give you
1
ginger?
1
@GenWivern2 cool thanks! So it's like the root, not the color. Hot for action.
1
@GenWivern2 Oh that makes sense as an origin! Poor horses. . Thanks for giving a shot in the arm to online education. Er... a boost. oops I mean for research with citation! . Oh dear.
