I think the problem is that we need random sample surveys to estimate prevalence. Nothing else comes close. . In other words, any PCR issues are small compared to not conducting a proper statistical estimate of the numbers.

Any estimates of prevalence from proper random sample surveys? . If not... we don't know the true numbers in the US. (UK does them weekly).

@allanchapman7986 yes, certainly. That's why it would be nice to know the actual number of cases! . We don't have any statistically valid estimates of infection numbers. None. Zilch. Zero. Nothing even close. . Proper random sample studies have found up to 26 times the number of infections as reported in the testing totals for a given county or state.
