i don't think reporting to VAERs gets you any time off

yes totally need to separate out 'serious' from other complaints! oh as i was writing that i got to 6:15 ...
2
oooops! Dr. C gets 99% of stuff right but this is important: 11:28 Don't multiply 0.13 by 300 million. Should multiply 0.13 by the number of people with CAD. It's still a big deal, since cardiac problems are common.
2
Yes! +13% from previous cardiac problem rate NOT causing a problem in 13% of all vaccinated people

@phantomhorse8255 ok yeah fair point. To eliminate such a reporting bias would require a randomized trial with a control group that got saline instead of vaccine. It's kind of like a "reverse placebo" effect. I would call this a confounding factor -- it could produce false positives, although it would not necessarily mean that every signal is false.

to be fair isn't it cold season in Maine? in NM we are in between right now. sunny and warm one day and -1F the next but i do apprecaite the report. enjoy life!

walk, sunlight, work out, good food, positive mental attitude

@goneleft ... or so the Germans would have us believe.
1
@thelogster Were there some event that had higher incidence after vacc?
1
@thelogster Which events had a higher incidence in vaccinated? Paper (Fraimen et al) says "36% higher chance of serious adverse affects" in Pfizer group, =18 more events per 10,000 people than placebo group. But Dr. C's link only gets a summary, so I can't see the full paper.

<keep vitamins out of the sun though>

Put another gator on the barby! Actually those two places are very not comparable to FL
1
@MrTespro Czechia, Italy, Germany are about the same rate as Florida for total cases/ and deaths/ 100k Also about the same as FL: Tennessee, West Virginia, New York, New Jersey... Arkansas Alabama Arizona... A scan of worldometers data shows that FL is not an outlier, though it is somewhat higher than the US average.

@MrTespro (i'm not a deSantis fan btw, i don't like culture war mercenaries)

VAERS is federal data, from the CDC. I think states could manipulate their own Covid numbers, but not the VAERS database.

imho this Idaho thing is the same as California outlawing doctors to talk about stuff. Idaho and CA could form a joint nation under the motto Uncle Sam is Your Doctor Now.
