Cheer down, things aren't that good! There's a dark side to every sun beam.

You'd pay $2 for 70% protection, but not $20 for 95%? . You realize that the Oxford gives you 6x the chance of getting sick from the virus?

@RandomDudeOne Yes! I would say that 4.5m vaccines so far in the US is pretty impressive. It will get faster and faster. I guess the UK also doing good! . Why nitpick, the entire system is at Warp 8 and you all are telling Scotty he's a suck ass engineer. Y'all are fired as captains. Spock is back in charge.

Sorry but Oxford messed up the dosing in the big trial, so they don't know the best dose. . Oxford vaccine would also result in 6x more infections among the vaccinated population. For $20 the others make more sense than 6x the infections for $2.

@bloepje What I like is now we are discussing the merits of the vaccines. That's good!! Oxford AZ has a lot to commend it! . There's also a new Indian vaccine, I'd love to see that reviewed here and the others around the world. Overall I'd give the planet Earth A- for vaccine development, so far., better than the grades for prevention of spread (F+) and public health response (B).

People: Vaccine? Scientists: Here's two that are 95%. People: Corruption! Scientists: ?

Lol yes impulse. But you have to slow to impulse to deliver vaccines to Earth Colony!! Goodness, blast through get a speeding ticket. . Cool the core, Scottie! (Small dog barks agreement).

The WWI ("Spanish") Flu is a classic example of pathogen evolution. . The wave that came back from Europe was deadly because it was bred in the trenches. It evolved high virulence due to selection pressure caused by human behavior during war. The pathogen then rapidly seemed to evolve to be far less deadly as it invaded non-war areas. This, at least, is a common interpretation of the data. Evolution is not random, but highly influenced by our behavior.

I believe in the US we should enlist the WNBA players to help vaccinate tall pepol

Really? You would pay $2 for 70% protection, not $20 for 95%?

In other words, "He who smelt it dealt it?" . nice policy for 7th grade but to be a real 8th grader you gotta be cool

It is 6x less effective.

@mariannehart8000 For da record I do not favor lockdowns. Public health is good. Lockdowns may be responsible for 1/3rd of the excess deaths in the US this year! Healthy should be the motto, not locked.
