1:45 you mean "cases" not "outbreaks" there's roughly a dozen cases in the US each year

We have 2-6 cases a year in New Mexico. It's mostly from mice. It's transmitted by fleas, usually fleas picked up by a pet cat or dog. . Any (?) rodent can be a host, and also rabbits, and prairie dogs (which are rodents). . It's very rare and it's treatable with antibiotics. People do die however, if they don't get treatment. . People still hunt rabbits here. (They hunt more elk though). Hunters should be extra careful, especially in seasons with an "outbreak" (which might be 12 cases instead of 4). Hunters always need to be careful of safety, just as people in supermarkets do. Most supermarket chicken has salmonella, for example. . Don't worry too much tough. Happiness is good for the immune system!
