  12. It's unethical to NOT do placebo controlled trials. With volunteers, of course.

  13.  @microcolonel  Study participants would get either placebo or ivm at random. They wouldn't know which they got until the unblinding. Meanwhile, everyone in the population who is not in the study should have access to it if they want it. No need to wait for the study to complete, given the evidence and the safety.

  15.  @microcolonel  They get informed choice, yes of course. They know the study design and volunteer. That's why volunteers are heros!! They knowingly join a study, knowing that they may get standard treatment + a placebo; or standard treatment + iverm. And they won't know which, until the trial is over and is unblinded.
