Probably US and Russia are both buying ISIS oil. That would explain why nobody bombs the oil facilities. Neither the US nor Russia are making money from schools, hospitals, or weddings, so they bomb those instead.

Assad and Russia also helped create ISIS by being so hard-ass and shooting protestors en mass, etc etc. The US and Russia are teaming up to make the world just dangerous enough to justify continued militarism and domination.

Your comment contains no specifics, so I have no idea what you don't agree with. I'm saying that Russia and the US have both acted as imperial bullies, pushing little countries around and arming them to fight proxy wars. Agree/ disagree?

Right, there is only one naughty country in the world... hahaha. Don't be so naive. The people of Russia and the USA are good people but the governments run over small countries for lunch.

Yup, agree, we don't know the details of Syria on the ground. I'm not saying what we should do, only that Russia and the US have together created conditions for ISIS. Assad was brutal which created opposition. Malaki was brutal which did the same. Enter, ISIS. What is odd to me is that Russia and the US don't just work together. 1, tell Saudi and Iran to stay out of Iraq and Syria. 2, finish off ISIS. 3, hold elections. The US and Russia have no great reason to fight that I can think of. Past history, yes, but no existential conflict today.

The problem in Syria was Russia backing a dictatorship. The US does it all the time also. It's not an easy thing being a superpower. When the question is Stability vs Morality, stability wins. But stability without morality eventually falls apart. So these things are bound to happen, like the Iranian revolution, or (in a better outcome) Argentina in the 1980s. The US and USSR and now Russia are all better at growing jihadis than olive trees in the ME. I'm questioning the overall wisdom of the developed world in relation to the ME and other less developed areas. It's all too one-sided, not Russia vs US, but rich/developed vs everyone else.
