  2. yup, if they were just here to "clean things up" we'd be gone. My #1 hypothesis is that they are studying us, which explains the semi-secrecy. As a biologist you always try to observe animals without disturbing them to the extent possible.

  12. Why would a supposedly advanced species use simple solar energy, when fusion would be available? I speculate dyson spheres will not be economical until the age of iron stars, in the far far far future...
