  3. Most people would like to change, but change is hard, so we have to make it easier. Solar, organic, everything good needs to get more accessible. That's where government can help like with subsidies. But it is up to the individual.

  6.  @JAMAICADOCK  I'm actually down with that. We need to embrace the slow, the low, the no-go. Just Don't! will be the new Nike slogan. Oh and I'd add, makeup is awful. Don't do it. Yes we can, but why? WHY? Truly I think we need to go backwards as much as forwards. Get past the industrial age to full solar, supercomputer wristwatches, DNA analysis of your organic compost, all of that, but also we need to go camping. A lot. Learn the old ways. We've forgotten our roots and a tree can't live without roots. It is said the meek shall inherit the earth, and I've long thought that could mean the meek economically, not in personality. Because who would actually survive a collapse of citification? Perhaps, those groups who don't rely on cities; the least "developed," and the indigenous societies, who barely get a vote in today's world but keep millions of years of wisdom alive in their culture.

  7. The minimum should/ was giving us cooler climate, but not anymore. Ask anyone from Alaska. The scary thing about earth's cycles is that there appear to be thresholds where change (either colder or warmer) happens really fast. We could handle most any slow change.

  8.  @ronwest7930  For sure different places are changing in different ways. AZ has had some wet years recently, after a bunch of dry ones.   I'm more concerned about rainfall changes than warm/ cold in any case. I come from a dry area, and if it gets drier we'll have to grow toast instead of wheat. To some extent it doesn't matter what causes changes, they happen so we do need to be ready to adapt.
