that was a big mistake to use "neuroticism" even though it is the technical term. you give a good alternative. young bucks, take note: never say your gf is acting "crazy" either even when she is. especially then.

if you work for Yes Man company, they that's true. Shut up and work. Otherwise, companies require feedback or they just wander around lost like Chrysler in the 70s.

< Most studies show that the differences between the sexes are purely sociological> Change that to "NO STUDIES" and you are closer to the truth. If I'm wrong, kindly cite a review article that comes to that conclusion. (Google scholar is useful to find such things because we can see the actual science, and not some trashy news writeup)

To be fair, here's my citation refuting the claim that "differences between the sexes are purely sociological." "Social role theory appears inadequate for explaining some of the observed cultural variations in men’sand women’s personalities. Evolutionary theories regarding ecologically-evoked gender differences are described thatmay prove more useful in explaining global variation in human personality." I read the memo and I agree, nothing offensive. People debate the biology, and I studied evolutionary biology at the PhD level but actually the genetic debate is irrelevant. The actionable point is about how we use statistics about groups to apply to decisions about people. This has to be done very carefully or it backfires. Have you ever read about W. E. Deming? He figured out how to use stats in quality control and transformed manufacturing around the entire world. It's really simple and logical when you read his arguments. But most people do it wrong. For example, taking data on productivity, and rewarding the top half and punishing the bottom half of workers, is often counterproductive and reduces productivity.

It was a shallow treatment of the science, but that's irrelevant to the main point. Don't confuse a person with a statistic, and you'll do ok as a manager. Google seems to be making some basic errors in use of statistics.
