  4. Two thoughts: 1) "fast" has only 1 short syllable. "At a high rate of speed" is longer and the length has the effect of emphasis. 2) regional dialect. Do not travel through small Texas towns at a high rate of speed, unless you desire to fund local economic development.

  7.  @yinshah3303  I agree, that is deep question. Why they let us have the tech? Or lets' reverse it. Under what conditions would they take it away? 1. If it was a threat to them. Not likely imo. 2. If it messed up their research on us. If they are doing science on us, it may be like with Koko the ape. We gave her lots of toys and human things to talk about. It's obviously not basic research where you just observe without changing the system.
