@ald1050 ...I'm totally aware of the circumstances that led to Tyson's downfall. I also knew that Douglas wasn't going to defeat Holyfield whether he trained or not. The former was a journeyman who had figured the "baddest man on the planet" out, PERIOD!!! It was the latter's fault that he didn't train accordingly. Tyson had taken Douglas for granted, and paid the ultimate price for it. He had gotten his behind knocked out, and lost the heavyweight title, including the belts, PERIOD!!! It's documented on film and on paper, in black and white. However, just for that brief moment, James "Buster" Douglas was the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world for eight months. You and the rest of the Tysonites after nearly thirty years are still making excuses for Michael Gerard Tyson. Let it go and get over it!!! Holyfield was the second heavyweight to stop Tyson. One more thing, Charles L. "Sonny" Liston literally knocked out Floyd Patterson in the first round. The latter was also trained by Constantine "Cus" D'Amato. Liston had taken heavyweight title away from Patterson. The latter lost again, by a knockout in the round. Both bouts occurred on May and July 22nd,1962. Ali knocked out Brian London in the third on August 6th, 1966. The Greatest unleashed twelve punches in three seconds.

@ald1050 ...No, I'm a Muhammad Ali fan and also a true boxing fan, and that was long before you were born. Douglas would have won the rematch as well, and he wasn't anywhere near The Greatest, PERIOD!!! The same goes for the rest of them. Once you put Tyson on his back foot, he could not defend himself, and it's documented (e.g.: Douglas, Holyfield and Lewis). I'm going on six-seven years old and have been watching this sport at the age of nine. Why don't you find another sport to watch, because you don't know anything about this one. Tyson has six losses under his belt. You're right! There isn't anything for you and the rest of your fellow Tysonites to get over it about, because you are all in denial. Your idiosyncratic statements won't convince any true boxing fan, either, including myself! As I said, earlier, you don't know the difference between the styles and matchups, and/or the basic rules of the referee's ten-count. Douglas rode the referee's ten-count, which is legal. On the other hand, Tyson was scrambling around for his mouthguard or mouthpiece and failed to beat the count. Michael Gerard Tyson loss his title to a journeyman named James "Buster" Douglas, PERIOD!!! You're a young and immature man, trying to win or balance an arguement about the Douglas-Tyson fight, that was later taken to court, and later settled by a concession nearly thirty years ago. I'm not going back and forth with you on this. You can have the last word until you take your last breath, Al. However, this fight is documented on film and in black and white. That ridiculous court case is also documented on the latter. The proof is in the pudding.

@ald1050 ...I wasn't trying to convince you about that particular bout or anything else of that ilk. I never said that I disliked Tyson, either! I said that it was your privilege, and all of a sudden, you get defensive. That's totally on you, and only you, alone! Furthermore, when you run into other true boxing fans, and they're indeed countless , you're going to get the same results. The word "PERIOD" bothers you? When you can't except the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, it's supposed to bother you. By the way, if you think that I'm a moron, then you're the moronic poster child because you replied to one. You're the ultimate transgender who brought up the word and the insults with you, to begin with. Your limitations, idiosyncrasies and ignorance are always in evidence. You're hiding behind the keyboard, and one day, someone will catch up with you, and teach you a lesson. You wouldn't dare go out in public, and insult anyone, because you'll wind up hospitalized or deceased. I met the Michael Gerard Tyson in retirement, not the "Iron Mike" image, and I'm certain he doesn't want anything to do with that image, again, PERIOD!!! Grow up, and get a life!
