  1. In certain situations Adam's take is correct. I live in a city, have an electric bike, and ride everywhere. No monthly payments/gas/insurance/repairs/tickets/etc. It saves me thousand$. Again, for some folks cars are a must but for a lot of people his advice is not bad. I used to live in LA and walked a lot, took the bus, etc. It's not glamorous/convenient/etc. but you do what you gotta do.
