During the arab spring people tried to change the rulers and become democratic, but the west , Israel and UAE ans USA ruined every thing and supported coups and terrorist organisations to distabilaze them and bring other dictators. Look at egypt now, the dictaror Sisi has overtrone a democratic leader with the help of USA and Israel. Same in syria, russia helped Assad and USA helped ISIS to eliminate the opposition governement. Anyway the history of the region is a game of power, resources control and intesrests not religion or race.
