  3. 6:42 7:21 I had not heard that apocryphal rule that CEOs should not make more than 7 times the lowest paid worker! A few years ago I didn't dare suggest a ratio of 100:1 !! So glad to finally hear this discussion from many sources by now!

This is the origin of a phrase that is a YT channel dealing with economic and labor organizing issues. Promotion of the general welfare is a concept discussed by Adam Smith in his 1759 book, The Theory of Moral Sentiments , which predates by 17 years Smith's An Inquiry Into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations (1776). We need more awareness and discussion of our founders' intimacy with the concept of general welfare! I expect the Preamble is the source for title and intent of support systems whose name is now pejorative. I also heartily recommend Bill Clinton's Labor Secretary, Robert Reich, on You Tube.
