She has eternal grudge after dismissal of lawsuit over her branch of family being excluded in Fred Trump's will. Mary's dad, Fred Jr., was Donald's older brother. Firstborn, of course, gets the Jr label. Fred Jr didn't share Fred Sr's aptitude for bullying and greedy cheating like Donald does. Donald was preferred by Fred Sr for involvement in the real estate business. And / or Fred Jr wasn't interested in it. Fred Jr became an airline pilot, and maintenance worker (I'm cribbing from Wikipedia now) in that order as alcoholism degraded his pilot function. Fred Jr died at 42 in 1981 of a heart attack, predeceasing Fred Sr. I think Mary's frustration with her family dynamic led her to her psychology vocation, trying to fathom what makes Donald tick. (Follow your bliss, y'all!) In interviews Mary has stated that Donald can be enraged and discombobulated by reminding him in front of an audience of Fred Jr dumping a serving bowl of mashed potatoes on young Don's head, a meme I saw just last week.
