Now they want whys and wherefors to analyze whether you'd have bought 5 if more or different colors were available. Want to log your product choices alongside your frequency of visits, your shopping time of day, what your address implies about your income, attach your provided info to info bought elsewhere, note willingness to travel in person or pay more for fast delivery. Retailers now pay statisticians to do calisthenics and origami with our facts, so they always want more grist for the snooping mills.
AND they want to sell and swap our details with other retailers.
This is already leading to surveillance pricing. Price listed will vary if you're asking from a phone, a laptop, or a desktop. The same item will be quoted at different prices based on the location from which your inquiry originates!
We need to get Congress to stop this!
