  1. The victim was asked by a hotel staff woman to accompany them to Hegseth's room as a buffer. I can only think Hegseth had that woman by her job duties, and Jane Doe tried to save PR for her conservative conference. The sober employee made her escape after tending to hotel support request. Jane Doe did not, but had expected to be able to escape.
